‘Our stunning detached country cottage is being refurbished. We now offer a brand new open plan living space with kitchen, dining and living areas combined. The property now boasts 5 bedrooms with the new bedroom on the ground floor and will be available from May 2018’
On the outskirts of Drymen, situated in the heart of leafy Buchanan Castle Estate, Strathendrick House is a substantial 5 bedroom cottage which sleeps 9+2 people comfortably. Simple yet sophisticated, old but modern, it really is a haven of peace and tranquillity. The house offers a vast garden with private access to the river. Dominated by an enormous fir, and surrounded by mature trees and an orchard, we ensure utter seclusion and privacy.
The village of Drymen is charming. Local amenities include several fine pubs all serving traditional hot and cold food, a supermarket, a bank, a local butcher, a gallery and gift shop, and a well stocked library for books, CD’s and DVD’s. There are a variety of events including regular ceilidhs, agricultural shows and dances throughout the year. If you’re lucky to visit when the hotel in the village square is throwing a traditional Scottish dance night the experience is particularly exiting.
The village also offers a private leisure complex with swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. It also offers 2 squash courts and the latest in gym and fitness equipment. All the facilities are available with good rates to guests of the house.
You can also choose between the historic town of Stirling with its famous castle, battlefields and monuments or Glasgow, The City of Culture and Entertainment. It’s a shoppers’ paradise, second only to London for sheer volume and variety. It’s also very stylish, with funky bars, boutique restaurants and vibrant nightlife. Taxis are abundant if you fancy making a night of it. Both cities are less than 30 minutes by car.
Quite simply our delightful home has something to offer everyone.
